Reciprocal Linking

Wow, lots to check. No wonder many choose to automate or hand over the process to anther firm. Believe me, there is no substitute for personally visiting these sites. Yes, it is time consuming, but it is not difficult. Even if you don't know how to upload links to your site, you can at least make a list of the sites you like for your webmaster. Just copy and paste the URL from the address window and send them to your webmaster.

Now, how should you go about contacting a prospective site? As I mentioned previously, look for instructions on their site and follow them. If there are no instructions, there should be contact information on the site somewhere. Look for an e-mail addresses or link to the webmaster. A polite and brief request is the best option. The Subject line should be direct and to the point: "Link Exchange". Webmasters get hundreds of spam e-mails every day. Subject lines like "Hi", "I was wondering...", "Business Proposal", etc. are quickly deleted as spam without ever being opened. Continued>>>
